I studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge before moving to Manchester University for an MA and PhD in Sociology. My research has always been interdisciplinary in the field of social and sociologically-informed history. Research interests for potential research students I am supervising a range of graduate students in the fields of sociology, community and youth work, and history. I have a particular expertise and interest in early modern social history, particularly in the relationship of law and society, crime and punishment. |
