In 2012 E.Makhmudov defended his PhD thesis “The use of China's experience in the development of information and communication technologies in Uzbekistan” by specialty “World Economy” at The Specialized Council at University of World Economy and Diplomacy. He published 1 tutorial book and 1 brochure. He is a co-author of collective monograph and an author of more than 50 scientific works. From them     4 articles were published in scientific magazines of the USA, 3-People’s Republic of China, 3-Russia, 1-The Republic of Korea.

E.Makhmudov gave lecture about economy of Uzbekistan at Japanese University Tsukuba in 2013 year, at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies of The Republic of Korea in 2014 year, at State University of New-York in 2016 year. He performed with his papers at International Conferences in the USA (2016), Japan (2013), China (2013), The Republic of Korea (2014), Russia (2011), and also had internship at The Central University of Lancashire, UK in 2013.
