I have dedicated my entire schooling and career to Asia and China in particular. My B.A. dissertation project was about China-Latin America Relations and since no one was writing about it at the moment it caught attention. My M.A. on Globalization and Emerging Markets dissertation was about China´s economic overheating and my M.A. on World Politics in Jilin University dissertation was about Chinese strategic culture. Before I began my academic career in 2014, I worked for seven years in a media analysis firm where I was responsible for following media contents and producing reports on perceptions for specific issues for officials at the Saudi and Malaysian governments. 

During these years as an academic, I coauthored and published one article journal titled The Rationality of China´s Economic Model from an Institutional Perspective in one high-rank indexed national; in 2017 published two first-author book chapters on China-Latin America relations and co-authored two book chapters on the same topic.  I have also written in analytical dossiers and other types of literature.  I am a member of the most important China-Latin America academic network (Red ALC-China) located in Mexico where I presented and published my own research in 2016. I am also member and Colombia´s main coordinator of the Latin America Association of Asian and African Studies (ALADAA) which is the oldest and largest Asia and Africa Social science research network in the region. After five years without any activity in Colombia, I assumed the national representation and organized with support of my university the 2017 National Symposium of ALADAA whose theme "Consolidating the community of Asia and Africa studies in Colombia” was actually accomplished because in the next regional congress in 2018 in Lima the participation of Colombian academics will be larger than previous encounters.  I also belong to Redintercol, the largest international relations academic network in Colombia where I contributed in 2015 and 2017 with two of four proposals dedicated to China within the more than two hundred total proposals dedicated to other IR issues. I have tutored more than ten B.A. and M.A. dissertation projects on topics such as Korean, Japanese and Chinese national identities, North Korean international relations, South Korea´s development model and soft power, China´s role in international institutions, China´s political economy, and political culture and so on.  I have appeared four times in live news debates on East Asian issues and occasionally give input to public and private officials as well as foreign journalists.
