Sesc’s work seeks to integrate ideas and differences, encourage reflection and develop identity. Guided by the concept of continuing education, Sesc promotes encounters between people and different artistic and cultural manifestations, publishing books with an emphasis on the arts and humanities. With an eclectic catalogue allowing for reflection on many aspects of the contemporaneity, Edições Sesc reinforces its fundamentally humanist vision and therefore contributes to democratize culture, a mission that has been embraced by the institution since its founding.
